چکیده
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are widespread persistent pollutants deleterious for environment and very dangerous human kind. As the bioremediation of PCB polluted sites by model white-rot fungi is still unsatisfactory, use efficient native strains which have natural capacity to develop on may constitute a relevant alternative strategy. In this study, we isolated 12 fungal from contaminated soil sediment, improved screening method obtain most ones in biodegradation detoxification PCBs characterized potential underlying enzymatic activities. Four Penicillium chrysogenum, P. citreosulfuratum, canescens Aspergillus jensenii, showed remarkable capacities, greater than 70%. The remaining PCB-toxicity their culture, including that Trametes versicolor Acremonium sclerotigenum, present interesting ecological metabolic properties, was studied. Only able significantly reduce toxicity related metabolites. activities induced were different according strains, namely laccases T. peroxidases Ac. sclerotigenum. Our promising results show can an effective strategy depollution sites.

Biodegradation of Polychlorinated Biphenyls by and Isolated from Contaminated Soil
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) cause many significant ecological problems because of their low degradability, high harmfulness, and solid bioaccumulation. Two bacterial strains were isolated from soil that had been polluted with electrical transformer liquid for more than 40 years. The isolates were distinguished as Lysinibacillus macrolides DSM54Tand Bacillus firmus NBRC1530...

Pseudomonas putida KF715 (NBRC 110667) utilizes biphenyl as a sole source of carbon and degrades polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Here, we report a complete genome sequence of the KF715 strain, which comprises a circular chromosome and four plasmids. Biphenyl catabolic genes were located on the largest plasmid, pKF715A.
